Editor's Review

The app gives you a blank canvas and a surprisingly deep set of digital bricks. You can snap together structures, vehicles, or just weird abstract shapes—whatever your mood dictates. What sets it apart is the animation toolkit. Once your creation is done, you can set it in motion: make a dragon flap its wings, a car roll across the screen, or a robot wave its arm. It’s not stop-motion tedious, either. The app handles the in-between frames, so you focus on the key poses. I spent an embarrassing amount of time getting a tiny brick cat to wag its tail just right.

There are guided challenges if you want structure, but the real fun is in freeform mode. The interface is clean enough that kids can figure it out, but the physics engine adds enough unpredictability to keep adults engaged. You can also share your animated creations with the community, though I mostly kept mine to myself. The app doesn’t push microtransactions in your face, which is refreshing for a free download. A few optional packs exist, but the base experience feels complete.

If you’ve got a kid who loves building, or if you’re just looking for a creative sandbox that won’t leave plastic shards in your carpet, this is worth the install. One tip: start with the animation tutorial—it unlocks the best part of the app right away.
